I Build Tools That Actually Get Used
Most business tools are either too simple (hello, spreadsheets) or way too complex (enterprise software that takes months to implement). I build the stuff in between - practical tools that solve real problems without the enterprise headache.
My background is a bit different. I started as a math and physics teacher in rural Malawi, where you learn to solve problems with whatever you have. When I moved into tech, that same practical mindset stuck with me.
At my last company, I went from QA tester to leading DevOps and backend engineering. Along the way, I built internal tools that teams actually loved using - like a customer service dashboard that gave support agents access to product data they'd never had before.
That's when I realized my favorite part wasn't the complex infrastructure work. It was building simple tools that made people's workdays better.
Why I Focus on Small Businesses
Big companies have teams of developers and budgets for enterprise software. Small and growing businesses get stuck with manual processes because there's nothing in between "do it by hand" and "enterprise solution."
I help bridge that gap. Your Shopify store needs order automation? I can build that in a week, not six months. Your customer service team needs to see product specs when customers call? That's a simple data connection, not a CRM overhaul.
